Hey guys what’s up?!
It’s quite relaxing to load up some good tunes through your car stereo and enjoy a nice, stress-free drive. Nothing puts an abrupt damper on this more than when it starts raining… you turn on your wipers… and then you have greasy streaks or large visible smears spread across your windshield... that makes seeing, difficult.
Especially if you’re the kind of person who keeps their vehicle looking good - having clean windows that are suddenly smeared, kind of takes the wind out of your sails.
Plus, let’s face it - when it comes to safety, “visibility” is pretty much near the top of the list, right?
You bet!
So today, I want to share a quick windshield hack with you, to make SURE this doesn’t happen to you.
The truth is, windshield wipers dry out and rot, much quicker then they should. In fact, if you live in a rainy area, like Florida, and you drive a lot… it’s not unusual to have to go through 2 pairs of windshield wipers, every year.
So here’s a little hack that’ll help your wipers last longer: Soak a clean rag in your favorite glass cleaner (Of course, we’d recommend using AMP (diluted 15 parts water to 1 part AMP - oh, and take 20% off using AMPUP20, while you’re at it). Then, simply wipe the rag up and down the length of your wiper blades.
If you’re like most people the rag will be absolutely FILTHY after you do this.
In fact, you may have to wipe several times, or even get a second fresh rag and repeat the process, until all the dirt comes off.
However, next time you use your wipers, you won’t have to deal with any kind of streaking and smearing… and visibility should be excellent, in the rain. This also allows your wipers to last longer, as well.
Let me know how this works for you once you do it.
Thanks again for your time,
Nick & Chad - Team TLC
